Muller Machine is a one-man shop owned by Pete Muller.

Since any company or individual dealing with Muller Machine will be dealing exclusively with me, here is a bit of information on who I am and what I do.

I'm 52 years old and have been working in a machine shop full time for over 35 years. I've had my own business for 32 of those years. My heritage is Swiss -- my father was employed by Reishauer (manufacturer of gear grinders) as a field setup technician and moved to the United States doing that work in the early 1950's. From an early age, I was exposed to all forms of machining and technologies, essentially "growing up" in and around various machine shops and engineering facilities, much of it related to gears and gear cutting tools.

Over the years, I have owned and operated a wide variety of manual and CNC equipment -- lathes and mills of all shapes and sizes, gear shapers and hobbing machines, hones, grinders of all varieties, TIG, MIG and gas welders, saws, sheet metal equipment and more. For many years, I specialized in blueprinting engines for go-kart racing and focused on precision machining of engine components for customers not only in the U.S., but around the world.

This brings me to what is now not only my job, but my passion -- wire edm. It is a field that had interested me for many years, and I finally decided to move into that field a number of years ago. I was extremely fortunate to meet someone who not only had been in that business for 25+ years, but also has one of the premier wire edm businesses in the country, if not the world. He became the "mentor" that allowed me to rapidly transition into this traditionally difficult field. Within the first year or two in the wire edm business, I had already made parts for the Airborne Laser as well as a number of critical live-hinge components for the mirror actuators in the JWST. I've cut many hundreds of different aerospace, robotic, metrology and injection mold parts, and even custom gold and platinum jewelry.

Some of the most demanding and intricate work has come from a very high-end aerospace subcontractor who has their own wire edm machines.   Why? One very simple reason: The attention to detail that I can provide.

It's not unusual to find wire edm shops that have large facilities, a wide selection of equipment, and a large staff of employees. I, on the other hand, am perfectly content as a one-man shop having a modest yet very capable selection of equipment, a superbly maintained and accurate Agie wire edm machine, and most importantly... the engineering background and the hands-on experience to provide every customer with the service and "attention to detail" that has become a rarity in this day and age.

I can and do work with customers in ways that are simply not possible for the majority of wire edm shops.
